Duties

The Accident Appeal Board is part of the social insurance appeals system. The Accident Appeal Board is a first-degree appeals body that handles appeals subject to occupational accident and disease legislation and other statutory accident insurance policies.

The Accident Appeal Board receives appeals regarding insurance institution decisions, mostly concerning the occupational accidents and diseases of employees, entrepreneurs, and farmers, as well as the injuries and illnesses of conscripts. The final decisions of the Accident Appeal Board are enforced in the same way as the final decisions of civil cases. The Accident Appeal Board charges no fees from appellants.
